Nestled in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage village of Saint-Émilion, Château Saint-Arnaud stands as a testament to centuries of winemaking tradition and uncompromising excellence. Founded in 1780, our estate has cultivated a reputation that extends from the historic vineyards of Bordeaux's Right Bank to the most prestigious tables around the world.
Our 10.5-hectare estate is blessed with the distinctive sandy-clay soils that make Saint-Émilion wines so exceptional. With vines averaging 35 years of age and planted at an optimal density of 5,555 plants per hectare, we achieve the perfect balance between yield and quality, producing approximately 4,500 bottles per hectare through meticulous vineyard management.
Under the ownership of Véronique Li Dai, Château Saint-Arnaud combines time-honored traditions with environmentally conscious practices. Our wines are predominantly crafted from 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc, reflecting the classic Right Bank blend that has defined Saint-Émilion for generations.
Our winemaking process honors traditional methods: hand-harvested grapes undergo careful selection, followed by a 4-5 week vatting period and malolactic fermentation in vats. The wines then mature in 50% new French oak barrels, developing the complexity and elegance that characterize our Saint-Émilion Grand Cru.
Château Saint-Arnaud has earned distinguished recognition on the world stage. Our wines have been honored with the French Bordeaux Knights Order Right Bank Knight Medal and have received gold medals from both the Challenge International du Vin and Gilbert & Gaillard competitions.
